This delicate and lovely Bedouin bracelet comes to us from northern Yemeni tribes, south of Saudi Arabia. It is C-shaped and is worn on the upper arm. It features overly work and three round medallions, one in the middle and two at the sides. It is possible that these were coins but are totally worn or simply forged disks.

The bracelet is made of mixed metals and may contain some silver. The ends are twisted back in a very definitive fashion. Overall in good vintage condition. There is a similar bracelet in the Quai Branly Museum's collection (71.1980.67.12).
